Ingredients:
¼ cup finely ground espresso coffee beans
¼ cup dark brown sugar
1 ½ tsp. Kosher salt
1/8 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground ginger
1/8 tsp. ground white pepper
1/8 tsp. five-spice powder
Dash of cayenne pepper
2 ½ lbs. skirt steak (cut into 4 pieces; room temperature)
1 tbsp. olive oil
Let’s Get Cooking!
Heat your grill to high, you are going to need it to sizzle when the steak hits the grill iron. While the iron is heating up, start combining the fresh coffee grounds, brown sugar, salt, cinnamon, ginger, white pepper, five-spice powder, and cayenne pepper. Sprinkle seasoning mixture onto steak and rub in with the olive oil. Make sure the steak is fully covered in the rub. Grill steak about 3-4 minutes on each side for a medium rare finish. Place on cutting board and cover with foil for 5 minutes before slicing. To grill the jalapeños and okra, place them directly on the grate and grill for 5 to 10 minutes flipping repeatedly to prevent burning. Enjoy!
